Privacy Notice
This notice explains how Still Ask uses personal information collected through stillask.com. At this stage we only run an early-access waitlist.
Who we are
Still Ask is a product of Benaiah Willis, based in the United Kingdom, who is the controller of the information described here. Contact: hello@stillask.com.
What we collect
- Your email address, and a record of when and how you asked to join (form and notice version, timestamps).
- Whether you confirmed your email or unsubscribed.
- Campaign tags from the link you arrived by (for example utm_source), if present.
- Optional answers you choose to give after confirming: what you would like to do, whether you might take part in a recording session, the kinds of material you have access to, whether you would consider a pilot, and whether you would like a research invitation.
- Short-lived security data: a one-way hash derived from your IP address, used only to limit repeated signups and kept for no more than 24 hours.
We count page loads as anonymous daily totals. We do not use advertising pixels, session replay, cross-site tracking, fingerprinting or email-open tracking, and we do not set analytics cookies. If you confirm your email, we set one strictly necessary, short-lived cookie so you can save your optional answers.
Please do not send us diaries, recordings or other private family material. We are not collecting them.
How we use it and why
- To send Still Ask early-access invitations and occasional product updates — based on your consent, which you give by joining and confirming.
- To invite you to a short research conversation — only if you separately tick that option. This is also based on consent.
- To understand interest and decide what to build first — using your optional answers and aggregated counts, based on our legitimate interest in developing Still Ask responsibly. We may share aggregated figures (never email lists or identifiable answers) with prospective investors or advisers.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse — based on legitimate interests.
We will not sell your information, share it for others’ marketing, add you to any other Benaiah mailing list, or use it to train an AI model.
Who processes it
The site, database and emails run on Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc. and its affiliates), acting as our processor. Cloudflare operates a global network, so information may be processed outside the UK; Cloudflare provides safeguards for international transfers under its data processing addendum, including the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
How long we keep it
- Unconfirmed signups are deleted after 30 days.
- Confirmed waitlist records are kept for up to 12 months from your most recent signup request, unless you ask again to stay on the list.
- If you unsubscribe, we delete your optional answers straight away and keep only a minimal record that you unsubscribed, so we do not email you again.
- Backups held by our providers expire on their own schedules, so deletion from backups may not be immediate.
Your rights
You can withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us. You also have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict use of your information, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to data portability. Email hello@stillask.com to exercise them.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to help first.
Age
The waitlist is for adults aged 18 and over.
Changes
If we change how we use your information, we will update this notice and, where the change is significant, tell you before it applies.
