THE RECORD AND THE REFLECTION
The glass stores the archive.
Software makes it interactive.
The Crystal would preserve a chosen, approved record. It would not contain a thinking or talking AI. A Fractal would be a separate software experience grounded in that record.
Reading the physical medium requires specialist optical equipment. It is not read by an ordinary phone camera or laptop drive.

How would the Crystal be read?
The storage technology we’re exploring uses specialist optical equipment to recover digital files from glass. We would need to agree a practical recovery service with a provider before offering a Still Ask edition. A usable digital copy would sit alongside the physical archive.
What could be stored?
We’re exploring a selected archive of stories, recordings and documents you have permission to preserve. Supported formats, capacity and the preparation process have not been confirmed. We are not accepting uploads or private family material now.
Would I need a Crystal to have a Fractal?
No. The Crystal is an optional physical concept. We’re exploring interest in the interactive Fractal, the physical archive, or both, without making one a requirement for the other.
What remains unconfirmed?
The supplier, storage component, shape, enclosure, capacity, pricing, recovery arrangements and availability are all under development. The illustration is a concept design, not a final specification. There is no confirmed launch date or lifespan guarantee for a Still Ask Crystal.
